Good morning .... Since everyone knows that the whole world and our nation is filled with corona cases. So it's very hard to get news beside corona cases these days.
So from today onwards I would also write about any particular famous incident happened in history at the end of my post.

DRDO prepared a bio suit to keep the medical, paramedical and the other personnel safe, who are engaged in fighting against COVID-19. It is called PPE kit.

Today's topic -  Bhopal Gas tragedy

It was a poisonous  gas leak incident and it is also considered as world's worst industrial disaster
DATE - 03/december /1984
PLACE - Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) pesticide plant in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
RELEASED GAS - methyl isocyanate (MIC).
UCC CEO - Warren Anderson. (UCC- union carbide corporation)


It is considered as world's worst Industrial Disaster. 
More than 5 lakh people were exposed to such a toxic gas and around 3800 people died and 5 lakh people were injured victims. It is also said that around 16,000 people died due to gas related disease later after few weeks. 
UCC (Union Carbide Corporation) paid around $ 470 million to settle the litigation. 
But the main issue was that this incident directly and indirectly affected alot of people at the time. 
So such incident also strike a question in our mind whether science acted as a boon or bane in human life.
